Wake up, wake
up, WAKE UP……….!!!!!!
WHAT??? It’s
Day 9 already??? *信じられない*
Why does time passes so fast???
We check-out from Uljiro Co-op Residences
but left our luggages with the apartment because we wanna do our last shopping
in Dongdaenum. We decide to just choose 1 shopping complex so we decided on
AM-PM with a total of 7 storeys of shopping paradise which includes ladies
apparels, men apparels, kid’s apparels, shoes, bags and accessories.
Pris spent quite a lot in just 1 shopping
complex. Do you think I wanna go for a 2nd mall??? NO WAY!!!
The Korean stall owners always believe
that they must clinch the first deal so they will give you either a very good
price or a very killing price. It all depends on your bargaining skills. We are
people who don’t really do a lot of bargaining so we are quite satisfied with
the price we are paying after negotiating.
Guess it’s finally time to leave Co-op
Residences and move into shopping paradise – Myeongdong. We check-in to Skypark
I – Myeongdong. The room is slightly bigger than Co-op Residences (of course
lah……. price also ‘bigger’ leh).

On every floor in this hotel, there is a special corner which is sponsored by Etude. It’s
so pinkish decorated, so sweet, with a dressing table and a sofa. The dressing table has various colors of nail
polish for you to try. Besides that, a computer is also available for you to
browse the net and printing services are provided too but you have to pay. Reasonable and thoughtful.

Skypark also provides free shuttle service
from Skypark III to Seoul Station. Well of course, we registered for the free
shuttle to Seoul Station since we are going to Lotte Mart. There goes another
few hours of crazy groceries and tidbits shopping.

By the time we left Lotte Mart, it’s
almost 5pm and we are supposed to be in Namsan to capture the sunset
view of Seoul city. Grabbing a cab, we rushed our way back to the hotel; ‘dump’
our purchases and headed back out to the streets again. *PHEW*
Actually, we read from guidebooks that
there are a few ways to get to N Seoul Tower. By bus, car, cycle, hike or take
the Namsan Tower elevator, also known as the Namsan Oreumi and then change to the Namsan Cable Car. Namsan Oreumi is a free outdoor elevator that takes you from ground level up to the cable car station parking lot, thereby saving the walk up the long fleet of wooden staircase. After reading about the Namsan Oreumi, we decided to give that a try. While walking to the elevator, we were amazed
by how it elevated. It’s an inclining lift to be simple and it takes 2 minutes
each way.
How to get to the Namsan Oreumi:
From Myeongdong Station Exit 5 or 6, when you are facing the road, turn right and walk along the main street till you reach a cross junction. At the cross junction, turn left and you will see the Namsan Oreumi.

After exiting from the elevator, I kinda
find the place familiar. Aaahhhh……..!! 分かった、分かった! For those who have watched MBC “We got married” will
know what I am talking about. That is the place where Khuntoria couple –
Nichkhun (2PM) and Victoria (f(x)) waited for Adam Couple – Jo Kwon (2AM) and
Ga In (BEG) in Episode 61 of Season 2.

Next, cable car to N Seoul Tower. The
journey uphill is not very long but the waiting time for cable car seems
slightly longer than what I expected. We have to wait for approximately 8 ~ 10
mins before we can board the cable car. Or maybe I'm just impatient???

ヤッタ! We are finally here. Wow……… look at that flight of stairs.

Ahem....... swallowing saliva |

Half way up another half to go |
|
Panting......!!! |
It may not make any impact on youngsters
but hmm……. for those elderly with weak legs, it can be quite a challenge. We saw a Japanese grandma having a hard time. Poor lady!! I think my mum
will have a torturing time too.
We went around snapping photos of N Seoul
Tower and its surrounding while waiting for sunset.

However, as we stay longer outside, the
weather starts to get chillier. Unable to tolerate the coldness, we escaped
into the burger place. We ordered chili cheese fries and hot chocolate again. This is never disappointing.

I think everyone was trying to escape from
the chill air outside and that’s why the restaurant was a little bit crowded. I
don’t know whether we are considerate or just stupid, we finished our food and
went back outside again. The sky is still not dark enough for a nice night shot
of N Seoul Tower and we are also finding it difficult to endure the cold. *Look
at watch* It is only 6.15pm.
Walking around aimlessly, the sky
eventually gets darker. We did a few shots and then make our way downhill.

We walked back to Myeongdong and straight
to 미니마니 (Minimani) for our dinner. It’s the same BBQ restaurant we went during our
last visit in November 2011.

We had a wonderful dinner and roamed around
Myeongdong before calling it a day. Pris wanted to show you how all the
skincare companies compete against each other. Basically, they get all the
current top Hallyu Stars to endorse their brand. You can see Lee Seung-gi, Jang
Geun Suk, Nichkhun, Kim Hyun Joong and many more. For you who love Hallyu stars,
this is a paradise for your eyes.
