Japan Trip - Day 2 (26 March 2010)

After a 7 hours flight, we finally reached Tokyo-Narita Airport. The flight was a bit too uncomfortable for Kathleen. (T_T) Anyway, here we are, in the local Keisei Train to Sugamo. We actually missed the station that we need to transfer to Nippori and we ended up somewhere out of the way. We took a U-turn back and found our way to Sugamo.

Behind me is Weekly Mansion Sugamo. As it was not time for check-in, we left our luggage with the reception and went to explore Sugamo Town. It's actually an interesting small town and we were quite puzzled when we came across a shop named [赤パンツ] which means [Red Lingerie] as you can see below.

We had our lunch in Sugamo Dori. It's our favourite, Ramen.
After lunch, we went back to our apartment and prepared for check-in. It is not as big as Weekly Mansion Otemae (Osaka) but it is definitely better than the previous apartment we stayed in Ikebukuro.
We freshened up and set out for our dinner meeting with Taniguchi-san, Konda-san and Kamimura-san. They gave us a welcome dinner in Hamamatsu-cho where we can see Tokyo Tower from the train station.

We then proceed to an Izakaya for our dinner. The guys are heavy drinkers. They don't really eat. I think the only people eating was Pris and me as we find the food they ordered are unique and interesting, especially a snail like starter. No picture was taken during the meal because it's not so polite. We had a good talk (in English, of course) and good food. Both Pris and me enjoyed the whole dinner very very much. We planned to meet each other again either in Japan or Singapore. Bring your family to Singapore, we welcome you.
