We reached Hong Kong International Airport for transit to Taiwan at around 2.30pm on 08 May 2009. My 1st impression of Hong Kong International Airport, hmmmm......... it looks like Bangkok Airport, nothing compared to Singapore Changi International Airport. As we had time to kill, we decided to have drinks at one of the cafes and guess what.....wah, almost S$10 for one cup of latte.
At 6.15pm, we arrive at Taipei Taoyuan Airport. Alamak, Taiwan really needs to improve their Airport appearance both interior and exterior. We were then met by our tour guide, Mary 姐. There is a total of 13 people in our group.
Our first destination is 士林夜市. Wow.... it's crowded, nothing but crowded. There is a food street and shopping street. We were only given a pathetic one and a half hour. We had a quick walk through the shopping street. There were shoes, clothes, accessories, bags and many more. You name it, you get it.
Next is dinner time. Yummy yummy!!! 臭豆腐，蚝呵煎，棺材板，士林炸鸡扒，香肠，卤肉饭 and the best of all, 珍珠奶茶.
That ends our 1st night in Taipei. We then headed to our hotel, Four Points Sheraton Hotel.
